Midnight is a six-year old declawed female who is a sweet talkative kitty, although a little shy at first. She enjoys being a fellow "couch potato" with people, but also enjoys playing hunting and fetching games. For example, she often proudly delivers stray socks and toys to her owner and then begins meowing for attention and compliments - in fact, she sometimes insists on a heavy dose of compliments before moving on to the next "kill". Midnight´s current owner is moving into an apartment which restricts the number of pets kept by each tenant, so she is being given up with much sadness and reluctance. Adopt Midnight as a Lifetime Friend
Our adoption fee is $95. Before being offered for adoption, each cat or kitten will receive at least one set of vaccinations, a blood test for FIV and Feline Leukemia, plus treatment for fleas and worms if needed. Adult cats will be spayed/neutered when offered for adoption, while kittens' spay/neuter operations are covered by the $95 fee. We will arrange for you to take your kitten to one of our partner veterinarians when old enough to be spayed/neutered.

History:
Roz is a couple of years old. She and her sister Daphne were released by her owner due to health problems. Roz is very sociable and doesn´t mind being picked up. She loves to get attention and will lay in your lap and rub her face on you. She is very much a lap cat. Roz would love a home where she could give all of her love to a family needing a cuddler.
Roz is currently in a foster home until she is adopted. Her foster, Maggie, has successfully brought her back to an acceptable weight from a bout of depression and refusal to eat in the shelter. Update: 9/24/2007 Roz is now classified as a special needs kitty. Poor Roz. Somewhere she caught the Feline Herpes virus. But she is fortunate in that the ulcer on her eye is healing just fine with the close care of one of DFW´s fine opthamologists. She is currently only on eye drops and her Dr. does not believe she will need surgery to remove the ulcer. Since she does have the virus, she will always be in danger of getting another ulcer, but if she is kept on a maintenance dose of L-Lysene powder every day, her chances of another outbreak are small. And this new obstacle has not altered her vision, nor has it altered her desire to be cuddled. Currently, Roz´s favorite place to sleep is "princess and the Pea" like on multiple stacked feather pillows. And she enjoys being the only kitty in the foster home with Pink Toes and a Pink Nose which are doted after daily.
